- Reid had a suspended driver's license, she didn't know til July 2016. DuBose driving her car, so plate run showed her info #TensingRetrial

- Reid asked if she's been convicted of making false statements. She doesn't want to answer, says has made bad decisions. #TensingRetrial
- Mathews is trying to discredit the witness. Judge instructs her to answer the questions, she's being evasive. #TensingRetrial

- Next witness is Alicia Napier, she was in the car in front of DuBose's at time of shooting. #TensingRetrial
- Napier: upon seeing PD, DuBose car just thought it was a regular traffic stop. Sat there for a while w AC on. #TensingRetrial
- Napier: was looking in rear view mirror at first, then switched to side mirror when Tensing was approaching DuBose's car. #TensingRetrial
- Napier did not know DuBose or any of his family, nor Tensing for that matter. #TensingRetrial
- Napier: I thought at first Tensing was shot bc he fell back. Then the car sped off so she ducked down and heard acceleration #TensingRetrial
- Napier: originally thought heard a second shot after the acceleration while she was ducked down. Then saw cops running by #TensingRetrial
- Napier left the scene just after the shooting. #TensingRetrial
During trial #1, Ms. Napier acknowledged she watched Mr. Tensing's body cam footage on YouTube. Mr. Mathews really keyed on that point.- Napier: impossible for me to hear Tensing/DuBose convo b/c windows up and AC on. #TensingRetrial
- Napier reasserts she heard a shot, saw Tensing fall back, then car moved to the center of street. 100% sure shot then move. #TensingRetrial
- Napier on why didn't contact PD right away: I was scared, I didn't want to be involved. Gave statement later that night #TensingRetrial
- Napier watched the video on her phone. She's in tears describing watching it with yelling "stop stop" and seeing shooting #TensingRetrial
- Napier says now knows second "shot" she heard was car hitting the guard rail. #TensingRetrial

- No re-direct. Horning is stepping down. #TensingRetrial
- Court taking a 20 minute break. Will likely hear from CPD Officer Shannon Heine when return. #TensingRetrial
- Court back in session, CPD Sgt Shannon Heine taking the stand. #TensingRetrial
- Sgt Heine conducted the CPD interview with Tensing after the incident. #TensingRetrial
- Heine: the attempt was made it identify the man walking up the street (seen in video) but he was never identified. #TensingRetrial
- Heine: There was a camera on a house and we got the video but it didn't capture the incident. #TensingRetrial
- Heine: UC's policy was such that I couldn't interview Tensing for several days. (At which point he'd already seen the video) #TensingRetrial
- Heine: CPD doesn't want a "compelled statement" so officers don't view their body cam videos before making statement. #TensingRetrial
- Heine also interviewed Alicia Napier, who had not seen any video at that time, #TensingRetrial
- Prosecution will now play Heine's interview with Tensing. As I recall it lasts at least 30 minutes. #TensingRetrial

- Heine: national trend to delay officer statements so they'll calm down and recollect more. #TensingRetrial
- Heine: agrees w Mathews that experts argue about whether officers should see their body cam videos before their statements #TensingRetrial
- Prosecution re-direct. Heine: I've never had to use my gun at all. #TensingRetrial
- Heine says doesn't recall inconsistencies btwn what Tensing says happened and what video expert shows. (pros says there is) #TensingRetrial
